With no driveways on this street, kids and adults alike will find it easy and safe to walk to the park. The Cathcart Knoll homesites are designed to create semi-private side yards referred to as “outdoor living rooms.” Most have front porches overlooking the park.

As you turn onto Hawksmoore Drive in Renwick, you’ll notice the hallmark of the Hawksmoore neighborhood: raised front yards and architectural rock walls lining the sidewalks.

The Hawksmoore homesites on the west side of the street are framed by one of Renwick’s many tree preserve areas; many are set up for walkout basements.

Renwick lots allow you to choose a builder who will create the home that's right for you. In an effort to help demonstrate how the floor plans for homes will lay out on the home sites, we have researched plans from national architectural firms that fit the Renwick lot standards. Below are links to these plans online. These are for informational purposes only and not an endorsement of these firms. You may choose any builder for your home; you'll need to share our Lot Standards with them.

CATHCART KNOLL
Cathcart Knoll homes typically are 50' wide or less as rear-loaded homes. Using these base guidelines you can search websites such as Stephen Fuller (you must be a paying member), Frank Betz, Design Basics, and Looney Ricks Kiss for plans which fall into these parameters.

At the Stephen Fuller site (you will need to pay to see this plan) the Southwind (plan 269) is a master up, two-story plan.

The Frank Betz site has the Brownsville, a master down two-story and the Easton, a master up two-story home.

The Looney Ricks Kiss site has several alley-loaded homes that will work in the Cathcart Knoll area as well as several that could work in the Smithwood neighborhood as well. Take a look at the North Perry Bend, the Poplar Grove, and the Belvedere plans.

HAWKSMOORE
All homes in Hawksmoore should be 65' wide to fit within the 5' side yard setbacks on a 75'-wide lot. If your home has a front-facing garage, the face of the garage doors should be set back from the main architecture 12'-0" (unless otherwise noted). Using these base guidelines you can search websites such as Stephen Fuller (you must be a paying member), Frank Betz, Design Basics, and Looney Ricks Kiss for plans which fall into these parameters.

At the Stephen Fuller web site (you will need to pay to see this plan) the Walnut Hill is a recessed front load garage plan that is 66.5' width. The garage may need to be narrowed 1.5' to fit on some of the 75' wide lots, but it is a great looking two-story home with the master up.

The Frank Betz web site has several front-loaded homes that meet the criteria of the Hawksmoore lots. The Pasadena and Cumberland Creek are two story master bedroom down plans, and the Cottonwood Creek and the Elkington are two-story master bedroom up plans.

NORA HILL
Homes in Nora Hill can range from 70' wide to 90' wide and can have front-loaded garages recessed a minimum of 12' from the front of the home; side-loaded garages that are recessed a minimum of 8' from the front of the home; or rear-loaded garages that have drives extending from the street past the side of the home. Using these base guidelines you can search websites such as Stephen Fuller (you must be a paying member), Frank Betz, Design Basics, and Looney Ricks Kiss for plans which fall into these parameters.

The Frank Betz site has several good plans. The Baldwin Farm and Hartford Springs are two-story master down plans with a two-car side-load and a one-car carriage house garage configuration that would have to be on the wider lots in Nora Hill. The Woodham is a side-load 3-car garage plan with a two-story master down plan. The Dunbarton, Clarkston, Westminister, Brogdon, and Beacon Hill are all two-story master up plans with side-loaded garages.
